LE DECLIC
Ayant pris conscience des enjeux environnementaux actuels, j'ai voulu apporter mon grain de sel et promouvoir sa protection.
Le plastique, n'étant pas bio-dégradable, est devenu une cause de mort pour certains animaux en Afrique ; en effet, ils mangent des sacs plastiques en même temps que l'herbe, provoquant leur mort à terme.
Ceci n'est qu'un exemple, et je pourrai en citer plein d'autres... mais ce n'est pas l'objectif de ce blog.
J'ai donc eu l'idée de réutiliser ces sacs qui ne servent plus.
Pratiquant le crochet depuis plusieurs années, j'ai imaginé un procédé pour allier les deux, crochet et plastique.
LE PROJET
Mon objectif est de développer la création de produits faits avec du plastique recyclé. J'ai donc fondé l'Association des Femmes du Fouta Dyallon pour la Protection de l'Environnement (AFFDPE).
Cette association m'a permis de former des femmes dans une ville de Guinée et de leur donner un travail rémunéré à sa juste valeur.
D'un autre côté, elle me permet en même temps de satisfaire à des plus grandes commandes d'articles divers qui vont du sac à main au tapis en passant par le portefeuille... le tout en plastique recyclé bien sûr !
SUR LE TERRAIN
En Guinée, des locaux sont rémunérés pour la récupération de sacs plastiques errant dans la nature; ces sacs sont ensuite nettoyés et recyclés par les femmes de l'AFFDPE en fonction des différentes commandes passées par les partenaires et clients de Adamacréations.

THE START
Growing more and more aware of the current environmental challenges, I decided I wanted to jump on the ring and contribute in my own way to our environment's protection.
Plastic, as it is non-degradable, has become a factor of death for some animals in Africa; indeed, they can eat plastic while feeding on grass and will end up dying eventually.
This is just one example, and I could list many of them, but this is not this blog's purpose.
I basically had the idea to re-use those leftover bags which just laid purposeless until then. Having practiced crochet for many years, I imagined a process enabling to combine both, crochet and plastic.
THE PROJECT
My objective is to develop the creation of products made out of recycled plastic. In this aim I funded the Association des Femmes du Fouta Dyallon pour la Protection de l'Environnement - Association of the Women of Fouta Dyallon for the Protection of the Environment (AWFDPE). This association enabled me to train women in a guinean town and provide them with a job, paid up to its real valuie.
In parallel, this association can satisfy large orders, ranging from handbags to carpets... all in recycled plastic of course!
ON THE GROUND
Back in Guinea, locals are paid to collect plastic bags lost in the nature; those bags are then cleaned and re-used by the women of the AWFDPE in accordance with our collaborators and clients' product orders.
